Eeeeeps I can't wait! I'm denver-bound for round three of this year to celebrate my mans b-day! I am so stoked I get to actually celebrate it with him this year! I am there from December 7-14th, then back home to work for a bit and celebrate Christmas with the fam-jam. From there I am Hawaii bound from December 27-Jan11th to do Honolulu, Hilo and Maui! So, so excited! Big thanks to my pa for making this happen. I hope this trip is everything he's ever dreamed it would be and more! I didn't travel as much as I wanted to this past summer so this will definitely make up for it a bit!

Maybelline Great Lash BIG!!

I was totally fed up with mascaras until I went back and tried old-school, tried, tested and true Maybelline. The only thing thats new about it is the BIG brush, which is my personal preference as I love big brushes...however, if you like smaller ones go for the original! I buy it at Walmart for $5 as Shoppers rips you off at $7! Hope you like it!

Camera purchasing continues...

Alright, so after my purchase of my Polaroid 600 I was so saddened by the fact that the camera itself only cost me $20 and a pack of 10 instant films were going to cost me anywhere from $35-$50 that I had to keep searching for something to fix my camera situation. My first solution, I did end up buying a pack of film from The Impossible Project...they have developed a film that is similar to the 600 film! It is however, monochromatic and ends up just looking sepia toned...kinda cool but still a fairly expensive alternative! So at least my Polaroid purchase doesn't end up being a complete waste. However, in terms of a new instant camera...I just purchased a Fujifilm Instax 210 from http://store.uniquephoto.com/e/index.php! Looks like a good alternative! I'm so looking forward to the arrival of both so I can play around with them! I will definitely be posting the results on here so you can take a peak! Even though the camera itself is not as cool as those nerdy, old looking Polaroids....it seems to produce a photo of equal kitschiness!

So I've been wanting a Polaroid camera for a while so I finally took some time to look through Ebay to find a good deal! I purchased a Polaroid Close Up 600 and was so stoked on my purchase until I did some further research on where to buy film to find out that they no longer make film for that camera! If it is still around(amazon or Ebay), the price has been craaaazy jacked up!! I am hoping so badly that Polaroid still sees there's a demand for this film and will come back with it soon....until then I'm going to keep looking for a good deal on expired Polaroid 600 film. Also, if anyone has suggestions on Polaroid cameras that they are still making film form, let me know!

So the best purchases I made while in CO were from this vintage shop in Boulder called Goldmine Vintage http://www.goldminevintage.com/. The name held true, what a fashion goldmine this place was. It was beyond stellar...mix of both vintage and vintage inspired new threads....everything in this place was fantastic. I could have spent hours and a lot of money in that store. I love vintage boots/shoes...and the problem with most vintage stores was that sizing beyond a 6 doesn't exist or it's devoured and picked clean like a carcass in the middle of a vulture infested desert. This place seemed to have so much choice style-wise and a variety of sizing, it was a dream! Of all the amazing garments this place had, here are the two items I ended up grabbing!

so i've been ignoring all my online junk during my trip and the battery has actually been taken out of my blackberry so that it doesn't accidentally turn on!

i have loads to post about san diego and vegas...but i'm not fully back into the online world yet so you'll have to wait until my return to canada for the full review...until then, i had to post about a crazy night in denver!

so last friday there were some crazy thunderstorms and tornado warnings for multiple regions in and around denver. while tim and were running to pick up some beverages there were tornado sirens going off throughout town....really!? sirens?! i thought that was just a gimmick for movies! that began our crazy night as a bunch of us were hopping into a stretch SUV and heading to red rocks, which is a wicked outdoor venue just outside of denver to see mgmt. janelle monae and tame impala were the opening acts and we only caught the tale end of monae....during their set it began to poor...the rain was insane! i cant even describe it! we stuck around until mgmt came on....danced around to a couple songs wearing a bright pink parka and ended up calling it a night and crashed in the SUV in the parking lot. the weather was unbearable! all n all, it was a night to remember! tornado warnings, jack daniels, dancing, red rocks and good tunes.

So I'm flying out from Pearson airport tomorrow morning at 9am to head to the US for 20 days! First off I'll be meeeting up with my love for four days in San Diego where I will be celebrating my birthday! From there we are taking a bus to Las Vegas for a couple days and then catching a flight back to Denver for a couple weeks to spend a good chunk of time with my favourite! I am so excited I could burst!

The more I travel around the US, the more I really want to acquire a visa so i can work down there for a bit! I think it would be amazing! Especially considering how many fashion centers are located down there...NY, LA...to name a few! I think it would be a great learning experience! hmm...another thing to add to my ever-growing list of "things to do in life".

babies, weddings, engagements and starting careers....
tis the season it seems.
i've never fit in to an expected little package, not into following what is expected of you and what points you should hit in life, and when.
at most points i am proud that i don't follow the same beaten track....but on the oddest occasion, sometimes it saddens me and makes me wonder if i'm doing something wrong.

i really wish there was never these societal expectations and pressures to follow "the american dream" i mean, really....there is no point. we all end up in the same place in the end.

its amazing that FAT is over with....im quite happy with how everything turned out!
im in a time where i've been wanting to be ever since i set out to make my collection last september! it seems unreal, and i don't feel any different.
i'm not sure what i was expecting, but everything is the same... just minus the collection work.
i still feel segregated from everything, especially my friends. its a lot harder than i expected to drive in for visits/hangouts. i wish i could move back to toronto for a bit, but my funds will def not support that dream right now!

i booked my next mini-trip! i'll be in the states for almost 3 weeks in june!
birthday in san diego, then las vegas and back to denver... all with my favourite!
i'm so excited! i have a one way flight to san diego...then we'll take it from there!
